The Dancing Satyr is a bronze statue, an original product of Greek art of the classical or Hellenistic period.
The sculpture represents a silenus, but now it is commonly defined as a satyr, a mythological being that is part of the orgiastic procession of the Greek god Dionysus.
The work, larger than life, equal to a standing model of about 2.5 meters in height, is currently housed in the homonymous museum of Mazara del Vallo, in western Sicily.
